Design philosophy
Our nurseries have been carefully designed to provide a safe, inviting, and enjoyable learning space where children feel part of the Teddy Bear Nurseries family.
Designed with children in mind and a sensitivity to children’s scale, our learning environments provide intriguing and rich experiences for all children, and supports Teddy Bear Nurseries’ commitment to providing well thought out learning environments.
Our nursery facilities cater to each child’s schedule, routine, and social-emotional needs, and also supports their developmental and physical needs.

Our nurseries have been designed with interest areas that extend to all areas of the nursery to promote exploration outside of the classroom. Children are encouraged to visit our indoor interest areas as part of their weekly and daily schedules.
Imagination and dramatic play
We believe that learning through play is a fundamental part of a child’s development. Our Imagination and Dramatic Play areas provide children with the opportunity to engage their imaginations, experiment with replicating real life scenarios, and explore their emotions through dramatic play. They can also test and grow their confidence in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
This important child led environment is the perfect place for children to grow their young minds, develop communication skills and build strong friendships, and the stage remains a favorite with many of our children where we regularly invite them to perform.
Soft play
Our soft play areas are stimulating environments that encourage physical development in our Teddys who can safely crawl, explore and interact with their teachers and friends.
The soft, cushioned and changeable spaces are made up of a variety of textures, coverings and colors, and allow children to take on new challenges and develop their sense of security and walking skills.

Outdoor areas
Our spacious outside play areas are an extension of the classroom and provide children with a space to play, build friendships and engage in new learning experiences outside.
Age appropriate and developmentally focused equipment gives us the opportunity to extend the children’s daily routine opportunities and support their physical development through climbing, pedaling, running, kicking, sliding, and swinging.
The versatile spaces allow children to enjoy outdoor play all year round and our Splash experience encourages experimentation with water, the perfect activity for the summer months. All of our outside play areas are carefully sheltered to protect children from the sun, whilst still allowing enough natural sunlight to shine through for the enjoyment of all.
