Teddy 1 classroom - Younger toddlers

Our Teddy 1 classrooms are stimulating environments that encourage growth towards independence, as well as giving children a safe and nurturing place to learn and play. The furnishings and equipment support young toddlers who are in the process of gaining independence, advancing their feeding and learning toilet and dressing skills.

Active movement

Our toddler rooms provide stimulating opportunities that supports children who are mastering their active crawling, walking, running and climbing skills.

Group activities

To support older toddlers in group play and activities we have created clear pathways and enforced safety precautions in the classroom to ensure the safest environment for your child.

Developmental activities

Teddy Bear Nursery classrooms are full of easily accessible toys, material, books, pictures, puzzles, and musical instruments which helps support your child’s development of language skills.

Our classrooms also provide an ample amount of space to cater to toddlers who are engaging in explorative play such as block play, social play, creativity and fantasy activities, and playing with props.

Personal care needs

A separate sleeping area equipped with toddler sized beds and cribs with dimly lit and soothing music.

Snacks and lunch enjoyed in a class community set up at tables or highchairs dependent on your child’s needs.

Eating independently is encouraged with teachers available for assistance as required.

Separate bag area clearly labelled with each child’s name.

Personal care area with all personal care items stored separately and clearly labelled.

Child-sized toilets to aid independent toileting.

Refrigeration facilities available within the room for storage of breast milk and baby food.

Food and bottle preparation area including sterilization and bottle warming appliances.
